Acceptable Technology Use Policy

It is the mission of Sunny Side City Schools to teach students to think critically, create new knowledge, share knowledge and to grow in order to become successful well-rounded individuals. In order to achieve this mission Sunny Side City Schools provides internet access to all students with the intent of enhancing instruction and providing adequate resources for the 21st century learner. The internet opens the door for opportunities that might not otherwise be possible but with it also comes the opportunity to access inappropriate materials. We take great responsibility in ensuring internet safety through filters and close supervision however, we respect each parent or guardians right to decide whether or not to allow  your student to have access. Students will be held accountable for their actions and are expected to abide by the following rules at all times:

                                                                         1. Follow all rules outlined in the school handbook.

                                                                         2.  Exercise Netiquette.

                                                                         3.  Abide by copyright laws.

                                                                         4. Do not use the internet  or other technology for illegal activities.
